Mission

The Project Lighthouse is an international non-profit organization offering pro-bono consultation services to support and empower non-profit agencies that align with our vision and values. It was founded with a passion for giving back and the desire to share our skills and talents and address capacity and programming issues to optimize impact on communities and society.

The Founders of The Project Lighthouse come from various private, public, and non-profit backgrounds accumulating 30+ years of experience in transformational change projects and social justice issues. 

We collaborate with organizations to identify their needs and determine how The Project Lighthouse can support them. We believe that success comes from working together to solve problems. Through working together,  we can develop strategies, capacity and resource-building activities, and support for implementing projects.

The Project Lighthouse is seeking Strategy Consultants to join our team. You will be part of a small team that collaborates at a senior level of a not-for-profit organization, supporting the Executive Director and Board of Directors in formulating and executing the organization’s strategy. The team is actively involved in various strategic management activities such as diagnosis and problem solving, verbal and written communication, data gathering and analysis, workshop design and facilitation, client presentations, and managing client relationships. In this role, you will deliver a broad range of strategy consulting services, business analysis, and business enhancement activities to support the organization.

You can demonstrate experience in Strategic Planning methodology, principles, and tools with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Strategy Consultant. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategy Formulation and Planning: Drive the execution of the Strategic Planning Process including the development of strategy formulation and planning tools and frameworks and participation in workshops with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and community organizations impacted by the not-for-profit agencies.

  • Strategy Management and Reporting: Provide broad subject matter expertise in performance management and measurement to translate the Organizational Strategy into measurable and operational terms.  This will in turn, support the corporate reporting process and the execution of the corporate strategy.

  • Supporting special projects and other related duties as required.

Required Skills:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in business, from a recognized academic institution.

  • 2-5 years of experience in strategy formulation, planning, and execution.

  • Highly motivated and self-managed with the ability to balance multiple priorities.

  • Client-focused, highly trusted very effective influencer at all levels.

  • Ability to conduct business professionally and collaboratively at all levels of an organization, from front-line staff to the Executive Team and the Board of Directors.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with and influence others.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Sound knowledge of strategy management, performance management, and change management/execution.
